Prince William gets a new part-time job Published: August 7, 2014

Prince William just got himself a part-time job — one that gets him back up in the air, according to USA TODAY.

The palace announced Thursday morning that William, 32, will begin flying civilian search-and-rescue helicopters for East Anglian Air Ambulance  this fall. The four-day-a-week, £40,000-a-year gig will allow him to use his military training while still devoting enough time to his young family and royal duties, something that was hard to do on active duty.

The job is also located near the family’s weekend retreat at Anmer Hall, on the royal estate at Sandringham, so the housing situation is all set up. According to the Mail, William and Kate were feeling “trapped” in their city digs at Kensington Palace and he wants Prince George to experience some kiddie time in the country like he did.
