— An inmate who escaped from the William S. Key Correctional Center in Fort Supply earlier this month turned himself in Thursday night at the Cleveland County jail.

According to a news release issued by the sheriff's office:

A deputy was sent to check on a suspicious person on the north side of the jail about 11:40 p.m. Thursday and found a man who identified himself as Bob James Zordell, 38.

He told the deputy he escaped from prison two weeks ago.

The deputy confirmed with dispatchers that Zordell had escaped from the facility May 2.

The deputy arrested Zordell on the escape warrant from the state Corrections Department and on an outstanding Cleveland County warrant from 2005. He was booked into the jail and will be taken back to the prison.

Records indicate Zordell was serving time for robbery when he escaped. has disabled the comments for this article.
