Prisoner escapes from Lexington Correctional Center

Officials at Lexington Correctional Center are looking for an inmate that escaped Friday night, Warden Eric Franklin said.

Clarence Braden, 48, walked away from the minimum security unit about 9 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. Franklin said. The minimum security unit at Lexington is not fenced.

Braden is currently serving a six-year sentence for grand larceny. He was due to be released in Jan. 2014.

Braden is 6-feet-2, weighing about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
