Privatization closer for Oklahoma workers' insurance

Committees in both the House and Senate approved measures Wednesday that call for privatizing the state’s workers’ compensation insurance agency.

Opponents said selling CompSource Oklahoma would result in higher insurance rates for small businesses, state agencies and volunteer fire departments who can’t buy workers’ compensation insurance elsewhere.
