Oklahoma native Scott Norwood resigned as Arkansas-Little Rock baseball coach this week, which would seem like a normal thing in college athletics if not in the wake of an investigation into allegations of physical and sexual harassment ... and a recording of a profanity-laced rant.

Norwood resigned 10 days after UALR's Department of Human Resources completed an investigation in which the Tulsa native was accused of physical and sexual harassment by former assistant coach Cole Gordon. The school found the allegations to be "without merit" and the investigation "considered done" according to reports from arkansasonline.com. Norwood said he resigned to pursue other opportunities.

You'd think that would be the end of it, but a recording surfaced on Deadspin.com Friday of what is said to be Norwood ripping into players with profanity and insults following a 1-0 win over Southeast Missouri State on Feb. 18. An anonymous UALR player reportedly had "nothing positive" to say about Norwood, and that the audio rant is "representative of the coach's behavior in the locker room after most games."

In April, a video also hit the web of Norwood "flopping" in a skirmish against Central Arkansas. Norwood was knocked down twice in the shoving match between teams.

Norwood went 148-178 in six seasons as UALR head coach. He graduated from Tulsa Memorial in 1984 and Oral Roberts in 1988.
