Local graphic novelist and University of Oklahoma professor Jeremy Short will provide free copies of his graphic novel “Atlas Black” while supplies last on the OU campus on Saturday. Short is teaching a massive open online course on management starting in June, and his graphic novel is a text for the class.

“The introduction to management MOOC class begins in a little over a month, and we currently have over 400 folks signed up,” Short said in an email. “As a kickoff I'm going to have ‘early office hours' on May 4 from 10 a.m. until noon in my office in Adams Hall 6A. My GA for the class who co-authored the research on graphic novels, Aaron McKenny, will also be there to get folks excited about the class. As you know, this is Free Comic Book day so I will be giving out free copies of the graphic novel for the first 50 or so folks that show up (or until I run out of books). The idea is that I could meet folks face to face before the online class begins.”

People can enroll for the class at http://management.ou.edu/.
