Professor to give opera performance at OBU

SHAWNEEJennifer Helen McQuade will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Oklahoma Baptist University's Raley Chapel.

It will be McQuade's first recital as an OBU faculty member. McQuade, a classically trained soprano, has served as an adjunct professor since 2006.

The free recital will feature works by Beethoven and Mahler. McQuade will be accompanied by Michael Dean, assistant professor of music.

McQuade earned her doctorate from the University of Mississippi, where she was recognized as an Ole Miss Outstanding Opera Student and Ole Miss Outstanding Graduate Singer. She earned her master's degree from McGill University in Montreal.
