Oklahoma State University professor was fan of spiders

The huge spider crouched in the corner of the sink in the tack room and refused to climb onto the paper towel for a trip outside to freedom. Its skinny legs looked long enough to belong to a docile granddaddy longlegs, but its body was narrow and marked with a dark violin shape.

"Hey, Terry,” I called to my husband. "Would you come and see if this is a granddaddy longlegs or something else?”
