Proposal would prohibit Oklahoma lawmakers from taking state jobs shortly after leaving office

A lawmaker wants to stop the practice of former state legislators going to work for the state shortly after leaving office.

Rep. Richard Morrissette on Thursday filed House Joint Resolution 1028, which if approved in the upcoming session, would let voters decide whether to make the ban a part of the state constitution.
