WELCOME home, Oklahoma National Guard soldiers, from Afghanistan and Kuwait. We salute you and thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Nearly 2,200 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen from the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team deployed to Afghanistan in June. At the same time an additional 800 Oklahoma Guardsmen deployed to Kuwait. A majority of the brigade's soldiers have returned to the United States, with more expected in upcoming weeks.

Fourteen members of the 45th in Afghanistan, however, won't return. We honor those who gave the last full measure of devotion:

Pfc. Sarina Butcher, 19, Checotah

Spc. Christopher Gailey, 26, Ochelata

Spc. Francisco J. Briseno-Alvarez Jr., 27, Oklahoma City

Sgt. Mycal L. Prince, 28, Minco

Sgt. Bret D. Isenhower, 26, Lamar

Spc. Christopher D. Horton, 26, Collinsville
