An anonymous tip led to the recovery of a shih tzu puppy that was stolen from a Noble kennel in December, Cleveland County sheriff's deputies reported.

The 6-week-old female was found and returned in good health to the Puppy Love Kennels, 9151 U.S. 77, after a telephone tip helped deputies identify a suspect in the theft, sheriff's spokeswoman Meghan McCormick said.

The puppy was taken in an apparent break-in at the kennels Dec. 17.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the case and charges may be filed against a suspect, McCormick said.
