Purcell kicker Daniel Martinez kicked a 53-yard field goal during the Dragons’ 52-9 loss to No. 2 Kingfisher last week, setting the school record for longest field goal and highlighting a big night for kickers across the state.

Martinez passed the 52-yard field goal Erik Venegas kicked in 2005 at Luther.

Across the state, though, four kickers made kicks of more than 50 yards.

Sallisaw kicker Sinue Rodriguez, a member of The Oklahoman‘s All-State team last season, made a 53-yarder in a 28-17 loss to Oologah.

Edmond North kicker Trevor Moore, who is committed to North Texas, nailed a 51-yarder in the Huskies’ 16-7 victory against rival Edmond Memorial.

Deer Creek’s Dillon Noble also hit a 55-yarder in the Antlers’ 34-29 loss to Lawton MacArthur.
