NORMAN – A man was arrested in Oklahoma City after a pursuit involving a pickup that was stolen in the 800 block of E Brooks Street, police said Tuesday.

The driver, Glen Gregory, 20, has been jailed in Cleveland County.

Norman police were called about 5:40 a.m. by a man who said that he started his vehicle and left it running while he went back inside so that it could warm up. The vehicle was stolen and spotted by police entering Interstate 35 northbound at Lindsey Street. Norman police officers tried to stop the vehicle at I-35 and Indian Hills, but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued north into Oklahoma City where Oklahoma City officers assisted. The pursuit ended in the area of SW 59 and Walker Avenue where Gregory ran from the vehicle on foot. Gregory was taken into custody by officers without further incident a short distance away. Gregory was placed in the Cleveland County jail on complaints of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, eluding a police officer, driving under suspension and a valid Oklahoma County felony warrant.
