In response to Betty Dollins (Your Views, Aug. 18): God is right where He has always been. He's not the problem. There are those who pushed for God to be removed from public school. There are those who want “under God” removed from our Pledge of Allegiance and those who want God removed from our currency. There are those who don't want God, or his Ten Commandments, anywhere near government buildings.
Christians have silently stood by and let these things happen, which in a sense is saying that they're OK with it. It's not OK with me. Have you contacted your congressman to tell him that you're against removing God from all the things that people are trying to remove Him from? I have. Until Christians rise up, make their voices heard, make a stand for God and demand that He be reinstated in all of the places that He's been kicked out of, and He is at the forefront of our nation's leaders, God will stand on the sidelines and let things happen to us that we don't want.
People don't seem to want God near them — until a tornado or other emergency arises. Then they cry, “Where is God?”
