'Puss in Boots' starts Thursday at Edmond's Fine Arts Institute

Performances of “Puss in Boots” start Thursday and run through Sunday. Tickets are $5.

Fine Arts Institute of Edmond will present five performances of “Puss in Boots,” a story about the most clever cat in the kingdom, starting Thursday and running through Sunday.

The play, under the direction of Susan Scott, is for all ages. Cast members are in the second through seventh grades.

Tom, the miller's son, is left his father's cat as an inheritance, though he expected to get the family mill. Tom is played by Josh Jury.

The mill went to his bossy elder sister, Gabrielle, played by Zoe Spencer. The cat, played by Sam Kisthardt, promises Tom if he gets him a pair of boots, he will make his fortune.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. The final show is at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Fine Arts Institute of Edmond is at 26 E Edwards.
