The event will be at Putt A Round, 601 S Bryant in Edmond. Entry fee is $10 per person, and registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with the tournament at 6 p.m.

Families of The Kids' Place of Edmond may be present; awards and door prizes will be given at the end of the tournament. Refreshments will be provided by Panera Bread.

The Kids' Place of Edmond is a center for grieving children and their families. It provides free support groups for children age 4 through teens and their adult family members who are mourning a death.

Natasha Baird, the co-owner of Baird Agency of Farmers Insurance, with her husband, Kip, said she is passionate about what The Kids' Place offers, because her brother died when she was 6 years old.

"As a child you don't fully understand the concept of death, especially when it is a sibling that you are close to,” she said. "You know they are gone but the full impact of what has happened doesn't set in immediately — it may take weeks, months or even years to comprehend the effect the death has on your life.”
