PwC has put its feet down in downtown Oklahoma City — 18,876 of them — turning its metaphorical footprint here into a literal office suite.

Growth in PwC’s accounting assurance services, as well as increased demand for advisory and tax services, prompted the firm to set up shop, said Niloufar Molavi, vice chair, U.S. energy leader and market managing partner for PwC’s greater Houston operations, of which Oklahoma City is part.

PwC, formerly known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, opened with a ceremony Monday at Suite 1400 in the South Tower of Leadership Square, 211 N Robinson Ave.

Gregg Cheshier, an assurance partner in PwC’s energy practice, is the managing partner. The firm leased the 18,876-square-foot space in a transaction handled by Tom Lange and Jim Austin of CB Richard Ellis-Oklahoma.

PwC has long had a presence in Oklahoma City, with client service staff working from Tulsa or assigned on location to corporate clients, Molavi said. In Tulsa, PwC is in Suite 1850 of Two Warren Place, 6120 S Yale Ave. The firm also has long been involved with youth financial literacy education, Molavi said.
