Q&A: Gonzaga's Kevin Pangos talks about Oklahoma State

After Sunday’s announcement of the NCAA Tournament pairings, Gonzaga guard Kevin Pangos was one of the players who conducted a teleconference with out-of-town media.

Q: What do you remember about the game against Oklahoma State last year?

A: That was a really good match-up. We started out really strong, and they got on some runs and we kind of went back and forth. Overall, I think we just played really aggressive, and we didn’t back down from ay pressure that they showed. They’re athletic, but once you break that first line of defense, anything is capable and you get good looks.

You had a big game against them last year. Does that pop immediately to mind?

Just that I was aggressive. Things opened up. Obviously, they were focused on Kelly (Olynyk) and our bigs down low, so things opened up. We had really good ball movement, and I got some open looks and made them. But if we play as a team offensively and defensively like we’re capable of, I think that’s when we’re gonna be at our best.
