A: Buffalo Pottery made your plate and they have been located in Buffalo, N.Y., since 1901. The pottery was owned and operated by the soap manufacturer, the Larkin Company. They were a mail-order business and produced pottery to give as premiums to their customers. Your plate is an example of their Deldare line relish dish that was produced from around 1907 to 1925. Deldare was decorated with transfer print designs against an olive-green background. The scene you described is one of their Fallowfield Hunt scenes and titled “The Dash.” The date of manufacture is 1909 and is included in the mark you sent. Similar Deldare dishes are selling in the range of $400 to $500.
