Lamp lady lights up collectors

Q: Enclosed is a photo of a tall electric lamp that I got from a dear friend of mine. She bought it years ago from either a tag or estate sale. The lamp is the shape of a woman and 29 inches tall. The only markings are on the base, behind the lady’s foot. Imprinted in the plaster base are the words “Continental Art Co.” I tried to find out about the company but only learned it was an American company from the 1950s. I had it rewired and purchased a new shade that was almost like the original. The person in the shop who rewired my lamp thought it was from Europe, but I’m not so sure now. Any information you can find out about my lady lamp would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and efforts. She’s not bad for an old lady!
