Q&A: Thunder's Andy Rautins is a shooter, first and foremost

By John Rohde Published: October 2, 2012

Who's been tough to go against so far?

All the guys have been pretty tough. The runs (pickup games) have been pretty good. We've got great conditioning in for preseason and guys have been working their tails off. The 5-on-5 games have almost been real gamelike. It's been good and it's been a great opportunity for us to go into camp.

Your thoughts on the Thunder as a new arrival?

It's a really close-knit organization. From top to bottom, everything is run extremely well. Everybody's in sync. There's a lot of synergy. The guys, they get along like family. It's very similar to my days at Syracuse. It's a small community. Everybody from the staff to the players get along extremely well. The facilities are top notch. You rarely see this team in the media. They're always very low-key and they could come in under the radar again this year, especially with all the Lakers signing all the guys they do. It's exactly where you want to be. It's a great organization and I'm happy to be part of it right now.
