A: There is so much information out there — some is accurate and some is not — so we felt it was important to have one place where our members and their employees can go to find facts about the health care debate. The front page of our Web site, www.okstatechamber.com, has become the resource for the health care reform debate. We need to make sure that whatever legislation finally emerges doesn’t place an extra burden on the backs of American business.

Q: What is The State Chamber doing with this education campaign?

A: We knew this campaign needed to focus on the Internet. We’ve been e-mailing federal reports to our members updating them on the key proposals in Washington. The e-mails contain information about where employers and their employees can go to have their voices heard. We’ve also posted stories and videos on our Web site to help Oklahomans through the debate.

Q: What does The State Chamber not like about the leading health care reform proposal?

A: We recognize the system needs to be fixed.
