Collison: “He was great. I think he was trying to do everything he could to help us win. When he plays like that — James (Harden) has made a lot of progress in that area. Realizing you can do a lot more sometimes than just score to help us win. Both of those guys are growing up a lot and played great tonight. We needed 'em.”
What was the difference in the screens for Durant, from Game 6 to Game 7?
Collison: “When we really get into our set early and run it hard, the screens are better. If Kevin can set it up better, it's easier to screen his guys. It's a team thing. The whole play, all five guys have to do their job. We were much better at that tonight. Sometimes when we ... kind of jog into our sets, jog into a screen, don't run it hard, that's when we can't get anything offensively.”
How much did Russell Westbrook's alley-oop pass to Kevin Durant, which gave you a 52-46 lead midway through the third quarter, ignite this victory?
Collison: “Plays like that give us a boost. Especially at home. The crowd is great, but you need to give them something to cheer about. They love plays like that, and it seems to get us going. We have young guys that really get excited and get fired up. Gives us a boost for sure.”
