Quick guide to Edmond North at Choctaw

by Jacob Unruh Modified: September 13, 2013 at 12:05 pm •  Published: September 13, 2013

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Where: Choctaw High School

Last week: Edmond Memorial 13, Edmond North 0; Choctaw 41, Enid 28

Players to watch: Edmond North — Stephen McClernon, QB. North struggled to generate some movement on offense. McCleron isn’t expected to put up eye-popping numbers in just his second game as a starter. Instead, he just needs to manage the game.

Choctaw — Jonah Llanusa, QB: Llanusa accounted for two touchdowns last week, both coming on the ground. If he can open things up with the passing game, he should be able to move around against a stingy Edmond North defense.

Storylines: Edmond North — With Lindell Tate out with a knee injury, the Huskies’ running backs struggled last week to gain yards and protect the football. They need to improve this week and keep the defense off the field to catch its breath.

The pick: Choctaw 21, Edmond North 20
