I bought a pair of Kate Spade small flower earrings last month for three reasons — they were on sale, I really liked them and they were Radiant Orchid.

Radiant Orchid is Pantone’s color of 2014, and though I don’t think I bought anything in 2013′s color, Emerald, this year’s hue tempts me.  The color is a blend of pink, purple and fuchsia. It has been described as captivating, enigmatic and magical. Because I seldom wear a dress in a bold color, I’ll probably introduce orchid into my wardrobe in small doses — accessories, shoes, prints, maybe eye shadow.

I wrote about Radiant Orchid in last Thursday’s Life & Style.  Some of the pictures online look more pink than orchid (something to do with the paper’s color conversion), but these pieces were all in the Radiant Orchid family …  just in case you run out to buy one of the featured items. If you missed the story, read it here.
