Raiders' Jacoby Ford ruled out for San Diego game

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — Oakland Raiders receiver and returner Jacoby Ford has been ruled out for Monday night's game against San Diego because of a sprained left foot.

Ford hasn't practiced or played since being injured Aug. 17 in a preseason game at Arizona. Ford, who missed six games with a sprained left foot last season, hasn't run on the field since his latest foot injury.

Backup running back Taiwan Jones will return kicks and cornerback Philip Adams will return punts against San Diego, coach Dennis Allen said Saturday.
