Railroad buffs hope Oklahoma City trains bring fans
A decade ago it was just a field near a former India Temple Shriners horse stable and riding arena. Then a group of model train hobbyists had a big idea for big trains and real train rides.
The Central Oklahoma Railfan Club’s ideas picked up steam as work on the Oklahoma Railway Museum started in 1999. Ten years later their visions have become reality near Oklahoma City ’s Adventure District.
