There is a chance for rain Friday and Saturday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

There is a 30 percent chance for rain in the Oklahoma City area Friday night with a 20 percent chance for rain Saturday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 82. South, southwest wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 60. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph after midnight.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Saturday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. East northeast wind 8 to 11 mph.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. East wind around 8 mph.

Sunday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Columbus Day: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
