Chances for Thanksgiving Day rain are slight in central Oklahoma but possible for the afternoon hours.

There is a 20 percent chance for rain Thursday as winds begin to pick up, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: A slight chance of showers with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Mostly cloudy with a high near 74. South wind 13 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tonight A 20 percent chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 38. South, southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north 17 to 22 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 57. North wind 11 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Friday night: Clear with a low around 29. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 58. South wind 7 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday night: Clear with a low around 37.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 66.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 44.

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 59.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 33.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 50.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 31.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 59.
