According to the National Weather Service, the boundary will waver back and forth until a stronger storm system moves into the region Sunday night and sweeps it away. Isolated strong to severe storms with large hail and heavy rain are possible.
On Saturday, a cluster of thunderstorms moved through northern and eastern sections of the state during the morning but slowly eroded and left skies partly to mostly cloudy.
Temperatures ranged from 73 degrees in Guymon to 95 degrees in Frederick. Daytime highs reached 80 degrees in Tulsa and hit 89 in Oklahoma City, according to the weather service.
Partly cloudy conditions are expected statewide on Sunday and Monday. Northern Oklahoma will have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms as highs reach the 80s and low 90s on Sunday. Lows should dip into the 50s and 60s as a slight chance of precipitation continues for the Oklahoma Panhandle Sunday night.
The entire state will see a slight chance of precipitation on Monday, with highs ranging from the middle 70s in the Panhandle to near 90 in southern Oklahoma, forecasters said.
Skies should become mostly cloudy for Wednesday and Thursday. A slight chance of storms will linger in the north on Wednesday, when temperatures are expected to peak in the 80s and bottom out in the 50s and 60s Wednesday night, forecasters said.
The entire state will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday. Temperatures are forecast to warm into the 80s and low 90s and cool into the 50s and 60s Thursday night.
