UPDATE: Winter storm watch issued for Monday night in northwest Oklahoma

A winter storm watch has been issued for northwest Oklahoma Monday night. Tuesday could be snowy with an inch to 3 inches of snow possible in central Oklahoma.

12:05 p.m. A winter storm watch has been issued for northwest Oklahoma for Monday night.

The watch is in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service reports.

The high temperature Monday will be near 53 degrees.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 53. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph.

Monday night: A 30 percent chance of rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 37. East, northeast wind 7 to 11 mph.
