NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORMAN OK
At 2:41 p.m. Friday, the “Area Forecast Discussion” from the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office said, “Lingering light precipitation across the area will continue to move out and/or diminsh this afternoon and early evening. Will keep some pops in the southeast, but expect amounts to be very light in the areas that do receive precipitation. Drier air will continue to move into the area with decreasing cloudiness through the first period.

“Upper ridge moves over the Plains behind this upper trough. The next trough brushes the area as it moves into the the Central Plains on Monday. But it certainly appears that storm chances are still relatively low. The next trough moves toward the Plains late next week and slight chance pops are added to the new day seven.”
