The rain likely will have fallen on all areas of the state by Monday night.

In the far western counties, Hollis had received 1.86 inches of rain by 11:30 p.m., Cheyenne had received 1.67 inches, Erick 1.61 inches, Butler 1.31, Buffalo and Arnett 1.27, and Woodward 1.07.

It was still raining in those areas.

The large storm system, which extended from near Del Rio, Texas, on the Mexico border into north central Kansas, has a slight potential for severe weather, according to the National Weather Service.

The front was approaching Kingfisher and Canadian counties at 11:30. Winds were gusting about 40 mph at the leading edge of the front, according to the weather service. No damage was reported.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will still be possible Tuesday primarily over the central and eastern parts of the state as another wave moves through. A few showers could linger in north central Oklahoma into Tuesday night. All of the precipitation should be out of the area by Wednesday.

Increased cloud cover and weak cold advection will result in somewhat cooler temperatures over the next few days, especially in northern Oklahoma.

Another low pressure system in the western U.S. may bring new chances of showers into the state's forecast by Sunday.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms statewide. Highs will be in the 70s.
