Rain to be replaced by clouds, cooler weather in Oklahoma
Published: October 22, 2009
Oklahomans awoke to a dramatic temperature change this morning in the wake of a cold front making its way across the state.
The National Weather Service said the light rain from the last couple of days is expected to end this morning as the storm system exits the southeast part of the state, but afternoon conditions will remain cloudy and cool behind the cold front.
With sunshine expected to return Friday, warmer conditions are expected by the weekend, but forecasters say another series of storms be on the way by the beginning of next week.
Today, temperatures should top out in the 50s and 60s, before dipping into the 30s and 40s tonight, according to the weather service.
On Friday, forecasters predict partly sunny skies with highs reaching the 50s and 60s.
High temperatures should warm a bin on Saturday into the 60s and 70s with lows in the 30s and 40s.
