Superstar country music trio Rascal Flatts announced today that they are canceling their Thursday show at OKC Downtown Airpark due to an illness affecting lead singer Gary LeVox’s vocals.
“We appreciate your understanding and continued support,” the band writes at RascalFlatts.com.
Thursday’s Downtown Airpark show was to feature rocker-turned-country-singer Sheryl Crow as opening act.
Tickets for the concert purchased on a credit card will be credited back within seven business days. For all other refunds, fans are advised to contact Stubwire at (877) 960-7882.
The band, which includes Picher-bred guitarist Joe Don Rooney, are scheduled to play an Aug. 29 show at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami. The Downtown Airpark announced today via Facebook that fans who want to attend the Miami show instead can call Stubwire at (877) 990-7882, exchange their OKC tickets for Miami tickets and receive a refund for the price difference.
It’s been a tough day for OKC’s live music scene. As previously reported, country legend Willie Nelson canceled a concert planned for tonight at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre due to an illness in his band. The show was to feature Alison Krauss and Union Station, along with Jason Isbell. Despite the cancellation, Isbell was to play a full-band show tonight at Bricktown Music Hall.
