“Hushabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of Rascal Flatts” will be released April 7, the same day as the band’s new studio album “Unstoppable.” The Hushabye Baby series turns beloved country songs into soothing instrumental renditions featuring the dulcet tones of glockenspiel, mellotron, bells, banjo and guitar .
One of contemporary country’s most successful and acclaimed artists, Rascal Flatts have created an impressive body of work since their debut in 2000. Cousins Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox, hailing from Columbus, Ohio, formed the band with Rooney in the late ’90s. The trio scored four hits from their self-titled debut, going on to multi-platinum success with the albums “Melt,” “Feels Like Today,” “Me And My Gang” and “Still Feels Good.” They have been the recipients of the prestigious Country Music Association Horizon Award (2002), as well as every Academy of Country Music and CMA Vocal Group of the Year honor since 2003.
Kid friendly and 100 percent recycled, the album packages are adorned with colorful artwork and activities. Inside, parents will find a mini baby book, a featured farm animal character bio, and a tasty and healthy baby food recipe created by chef Jeff Parker.
The Hushabye Baby series is the newest venture of CMH Records, which over the last 33 years has become one of the most distinguished and successful labels in bluegrass, roots and instrumental music, garnering numerous awards along the way. The CMH legacy of quality American music continues with Hushabye Baby, which utilizes producers and musicians whose work can also be heard on country radio and recordings.
Hushabye Baby has been awarded four “Excellent Product” honors from iParenting Media, the premier product evaluation and testing service in the country for children’s and family products.
CDs featuring lullaby renditions of the songs of George Strait, Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson have already been issued by Hushabye Baby.
