EDMOND — RCB Bank has started construction on a new, 6,300-square-foot Edmond branch that will replace its current building.
While the project at Kelly Avenue and Edmond Road continues, RCB Bank will continue to operate out of its building at 610 S Kelly Ave. The new building is expected to be complete in May 2012.
“We are extremely excited to see progress beginning on the new structure,” said Jim Gray, RCB Bank Edmond president. “The old building has served us well, but we are very much looking forward to our new home with more space.”
RCB entered the Edmond market in 2006 after acquiring the current location from another bank.
“I am excited to grow the bank and expand RCB's presence in Edmond,” said Gray. “This is the next step in our continued commitment to the community.”
Roger Mosier, RCB Bank president and CEO, the new branch is designed to be convenient for customers.
“You know what they say — location, location, location,” Mosier said.
The new location will include a large lighted clock tower that will be “convenient and aesthetically pleasing,” Mosier said. The clock tower will be on the corner with the ATM.
The new bank will have four teller lines, private offices and safe-deposit boxes.
“The new building will fit in nicely with Edmond,” Gray said.
“We're using a modified Georgian facade — red brick with white columns and keystones, which will coordinate well with other Edmond buildings.”
