Readers wrote on NewsOK.com that the Christmas Eve blizzard was frustrating and trying. But they also noted it showcased generosity of many Good Samaritans.

"I was very proud to see all the people who were out helping others,” Deanna Coon wrote of her more than four-hour ordeal traveling a distance that normally takes her 30 minutes.

Bill Simmons wrote that a young man driving a white, one-ton, four-wheel-drive pickup helped many stuck drivers by towing them up a hill on Martin Luther King Avenue in Oklahoma City. "I saw him do this six times before he got to me,” Simmons wrote. He did not get the man’s name, but thanked him, wished him a Merry Christmas and gave him $20. The truck driver said it wasn’t necessary.

"But I disagreed,” Simmons wrote. "He went out of his way to help others. Thank you again.”
