Builder makes finals in 2 awards
NORMAN — First Oklahoma Construction has been named a finalist in the Best Overall Company and Best Community Impact categories at the 2014 Business Excellence Awards announced recently by ActionCOACH business coaching firm, the company sponsoring the event.
Ali Farzaneh, president and CEO, founded the company in 2005. First Oklahoma Construction grew by 77 percent from 2011 to 2012. Farzaneh’s recognition in the Best Community Impact category was for work assisting in the rebuilding following devastating weather. After the May 2013 tornadoes, Farzaneh offered to install free storm shelters in his custom homes.
Association names new leaders
The Oklahoma City Association of Building Owners and Managers has elected officers for 2014. Darren Riddles with Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort is president; Carolyn Richardson of Price Edwards & Co. is vice president; and Jarod Tarver with Caliber Cos. is secretary-treasurer.
