Architect student wins honor

Andrew Stevens Jr. of HSEarchitects in Oklahoma City was recently awarded second place in the international student competition. “The Architecture & Engineering of Sustainable Buildings,” held by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.

Stevens competed against upper-level students from other architecture and engineering schools. He entered the competition as a University of Oklahoma master's degree student, under the direction of faculty sponsor Professor Lee Fithian.

Circle JH Trucking donates to fair

Circle JH Trucking of Erick accepted Clift Land Auctions' usual challenge at a recent auction at the Roger Mills County Ag Pavilion in Cheyenne. The auction company, based in Amarillo, Texas, starts auctions with special bidding to solicit a donation for a local organization that benefits community youth. Circle JH Trucking responded with a donation bid of $130, matched by Clift Land Auctions. The Roger Mills County Free Fair Board received the combined $260 donation.
