Recruiting: No. 1 receiver Laquon Treadwell to visit Oklahoma State on Friday
Cowboys, Oklahoma are competing with Ole Miss for Treadwell. Going into the weekend, Ole Miss is Treadwell's top choice.
In the pursuit of the nation's highest-rated wide receiver prospect, Oklahoma State gets the last big sales pitch.
Laquon Treadwell, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver from Crete-Monee (Ill.) is scheduled to arrive for an official visit to OSU on Friday with his decision between the Cowboys, Oklahoma and Ole Miss looming next Thursday.

Oklahoma State got a little recruiting help from a current commit, receiver Ra'Shaad Samples of Dallas Skyline, who competed against Treadwell in the Under Armour All-America game in St. Petersburg, Fla., last week.
“I got to know him a little bit, talked to him about Oklahoma State,” Samples said. “I tried to recruit him a little, told him it would be a good place to go. He's a good guy and has good speed for a guy with that size.”
The Cowboys will likely try to play on the family angle as well. Treadwell's uncle is Ricky Young, a former All-America linebacker at Oklahoma State, who now lives in Norman.
While Ole Miss has appeared to be the leader for Treadwell, the Sooners are making a push as well, having brought him in for an official visit in mid-December. Now with Kenny Stills gone a year early for the NFL Draft and Justin Brown graduating, OU is in need of a strong presence at outside receiver.
Still, it appears both state programs are competing with Ole Miss for the nation's top receiver in the Rivals.com and ESPN.com rankings.
