Kevin Peterson can finally relax.

Peterson, the Wagoner standout who committed to Oklahoma on Dec. 18, switched his commitment to Oklahoma State on Monday after his weekend visit to Stillwater.

Peterson's switch was first reported by

The three-star prospect helped lead Wagoner to its first-ever football state championship in a Dec. 2 win over Clinton in the Class 4A title game.

"I don't think I've smiled this much since we won the state championship," Peterson said Monday.

Peterson, The Oklahoman's 2011 All-State Defensive Player of the Year, said he made the switch in large part because of the departure of secondary coach Willie Martinez and defensive coordinator Brent Venables.

"I had a really good relationship with Coach Martinez," Peterson said. "He left, and then Coach Venables left, and that was everything I knew about OU from a coaching standpoint."

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was set to watch Peterson play in Wagoner's Tuesday night basketball home game, but won't make the trip now.

Wide receiver Jhajuan Seales also switched his commitment to Oklahoma State this weekend, according and Beaumont Enterprise reports.

Seales, who committed to Houston on Jan. 15, pledged to sign with OSU on Sunday during his official visit.

"It's a great opportunity," Seales told the Enterprise. "Great conference, great facilities. I really enjoyed the campus. I'm excited."
