Red Cross wildfire update for Oklahoma

The American Red Cross is reminding those affected by the fires and who need assistance to contact them for help as soon as possible.

The Red Cross continues to respond to those affected by wildfires in the Oklahoma City metro area over the past several days.

The organization said people affected by the fires that need help can call (405) 228-9500 for assistance.

The Red Cross is also providing meals for fire department personnel working on the fires with the assistance of area businesses. Sonic provided meals Thursday night.

The Red Cross has also been released from assisting those at the command center at SE 59 and Gardner in southeast Oklahoma City. A wildfire there burned several hundred acres Wednesday night.
