Marilyn: What determines the color of a chicken egg? Do brown eggs come from brown hens, while the white eggs come from white hens?
Marilyn responds:
The breed of hen determines the shell color. Also, there's no nutritional or flavor difference between brown and white eggs, and their cooking characteristics are the same.
