RedHawks hold off Nashville

RedHawks 6, Nashville 4

The Oklahoma City RedHawks held off a late rally to beat Nashville 6-4 on Saturday night at Greer Stadium.

Nashville's Hainley Statia hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning to cut the RedHawks' lead to two. Manager Tony DeFrancesco went to the bullpen and called on Wade LeBlanc, who induced a groundout from the Sounds' Hunter Morris to end the game.

At the plate

Che-Hsuan Lin had two RBIs to pace the RedHawks' offense. Marwin Gonzalez and Brandon Laird had two hits apiece.

On the mound

RedHawks starter Brad Peacock (3-2) recorded nine strikeouts in seven innings to pick up the win. He allowed two runs, one earned, and five hits.

Chris Narveson (1-4) took the loss for Nashville.

The RedHawks and Sounds close out the series at 6:35 p.m. Sunday. Philip Humber (0-3, 4.66 ERA) starts for OKC. Johnnie Lowe (0-1, 4.07) takes the mound for Nashville.
