•Story line: Oklahoma led 2-1 heading into the sixth inning, but Iowa's potent lineup found its stroke at the plate. The Cubs scored eight runs to put the first playoff game out of reach for the RedHawks on Wednesday night at Principal Park.

•On the mound: Starter Elizardo Ramirez went 5 1/3 innings, allowing eight earned runs on 10 hits. He gave up a two-run homer in the sixth inning that sparked the Cubs' eight run frame. Kea Kometani pitched 1 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and two runs.

•Going...going...gone: Right fielder Ben Harrison hit a solo homer in the fifth inning. Catcher Max Ramirez drove in a run on a double in the fourth inning.
