RedHawks will bring back manager Bobby Jones

Bobby Jones will return for another season as manager of the Oklahoma City RedHawks, the Texas Rangers announced Thursday.

Jones is the franchise’s most successful manager with 637 victories over three separate stints spanning 10 years. Jones has guided the RedHawks to division titles in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2008.

He played for the old 89ers as a Rangers farmhand in the 1980s.

Also returning to the RedHawks are pitching coach Terry Clark, hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh, trainer Jason Roberts and strength coach Ric Mabie.
