When temperatures heat up in Oklahoma, I tend to reach for products that cool my skin. That was especially true in 2011. Anyone remember that summer of more than 50 days of 100-degree weather? I think I went through three or four bottles of sprays and spritzes in my efforts to keep refreshed and moisturized.

Anyway, I was at Cayman’s in Norman recently for a photo shoot and cosmetics manager Elizabeth Farris mentioned a product that she used on the model. She set the model’s makeup with Natura Bisse C+C Vitamin Splash Critic Revitalizing Spray.

I wasn’t familiar with the product, but I was intrigued after the first sniff.  I love anything with a citrus scent. Even better, it’s a multitasking product — use it on the face, on the body, to moisturize, to revitalize, to soothe, to tone. An added bonus is that it can be used on the face to set makeup.

At $55, some women would consider this product a splurge. But not all beauty budgets are equal.  I’ve been using, albeit sparingly, a small travel size that Elizabeth sent home with me to try.  Does my skin feel good? Absolutely.

Next time you’re near Cayman’s, stop in and see Elizabeth. Check out the C+C Vitamin Splash spray and all the other beauty, apparel and home decor goodies in the store. And just for the record, I’m also lusting after those Kartell Louis ghost chairs, which we included in one of the photos for my story on clear accessories. Look for the ghost chair – and my story – in the Life & Style section of The Oklahoman on July 18.
