State Regents for Higher Education today approved tuition and fee increases averaging 9.1 percent for Oklahoma undergraduate students at state colleges and universities.
The hikes add an average $302 to the annual bill of full-time students. The largest percentage increase was 11.3 percent at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell. The smallest percentage increase was 4.4 percent at Langston University’s main campus. The campus with the highest per-hour rate is the University of Oklahoma, at $217.43 for both tuition and fees. Carl Albert State College in Poteau is the best bargain in the state at $75 per credit hour. Susan Simpson: 475-3930, ssimpson@oklahoman.com
