Friday is the deadline to register to vote in the March 4 election for mayor of Oklahoma City.

To be eligible to vote, you must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and resident of the city.

Registration forms are available at the Oklahoma County Election Board, 4201 N Lincoln Blvd., and at tag agencies, libraries and post offices.

For complete details on registering, go to www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Registration/. There is a mail-in form online at www.ok.gov/elections/documents/vrform.pdf.

Four candidates are running for mayor: Mayor Mick Cornett, who is seeking a fourth term; Ward 2 Councilman Ed Shadid, who is in his first term on the city council; Phil Hughes, a resident of northwest Oklahoma City; and Joe B. Sarge Nelson, who lives in south Oklahoma City.

If no candidate receives a majority, the top two finishers advance to a runoff April 1.
